The resurgence of the Bentley marque over the last ten years is one of
the world’s business success stories.
More recently, the bringing to market of three, new Bentley two-
door models since 1992, each with its own clearly defined position
and target markets, has created a new market for Bentley dealers. As
a business opportunity its value is already proven. It is five years
since the launch of the first new, two-door Grand Tourers since the
classics of the R- and S-Type Continentals of the 50’s and 60’s; the
Continental R at Geneva in 1991 followed by the head-turning, four-
seater, convertible Azure in 1995 and the world-acclaimed Continental
T last year. Now the two-door range accounts for 40 per cent of the
total revenue of Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealers world-wide.
