AXLE, FRONT

AXLE, REAR
SECTION Axle gears noisy
1 ( a ) Insufficient oil in axle.
( b ) Use of unsuitable lubricant.
( c ) Gears incorrectly adjusted.
( d ) Gear teeth badly worn.
( e ) Bearings worn.
SECTION Axle noisy only when cornering
2 ( a ) Noisy differential gear.
( b ) Worn differential gear.
BRAKES, FOUR WHEEL
SECTION Brakes rub when released
3 ( a ) Incorrect adjustment.
( b ) Insufficient tension on internal pull off spring.
( c ) Brake mechanism corroded.
( d ) Insufficient clearance for brake shoe clearance control spring
operating in brake shoe guide.
SECTION Loss of Braking efficiency
