                       SECTION         Engine will not run slowly
                            27         ( a )   Slow running jet choked.

                                       ( b )  Slow running jet not correctly adjusted.
                                       ( c )   Sparking plug points incorrectly set.
                                       ( d )  Weak ignition.
                       SECTION         Shortage of petrol at high speeds
                           28          ( a )   Power jet partly choked.

                                       ( b )  Autovac does not function regularly at high speeds.
                                       ( c )   Loose petrol pipe connections.
                         Symptom usually associated with shortage of petrol at high speed may ‘be
                         due to faulty sparking plugs.

                                       IGNITION


                       SECTION         No spark or weak spark at plug points
                           29          ( a )   Faulty sparking plugs.
                                       ( b )  Dirty or greasy distributor contact points.
                                       ( c )   Distributor contact points not correctly set.
                                       ( d )  Faulty distributor condenser.
                                       ( e )   Battery totally discharged.
                                       ( f )   Battery terminals corroded.
                                       ( g )   Loose connections in ignition circuit.
                                       ( h )  High tension leads faulty.
                                       ( i )   Faulty coil.
                                       ( j )   Ignition coil low tension leads not making good contact.

                                       GEARBOX


                       SECTION         Noisy gear changing
                           30          ( a )   Incorrectly done.

                                       ( b )   Clutch spins when released.
                                       ( c )   Incorrect clutch adjustment.
