          ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT Separate unit type.
          Single pole system throughout.
          Lucas dynamo, direct drive from engine timing chain.
          Lucas starting motor mounted on the nearside front of the flywheel housing. Lucas 12 volt
          63 amp, battery carried in a metal carrier located under the front floorboards.
          Lucas Instrument panel.
          Lucas lamps throughout.
          Lucas Horn.
          ENGINE Six cylinders cast en bloc and integral with crankcase. Detachable cylinder head,
          with overhead valves ( two per cylinder ) operated by enclosed push rods.
          Inlet valves of 3 per cent, nickel stainless steel ( masked ). Exhaust of 14 per cent, chromium
          stainless steel.

          Lubrication by pressure to main, big end, camshaft bearings and overhead rocker gear.
          Oil pump of the gear type, driven by spiral gears from the centre of the camshaft. Submerged
          and fitted with oil strainer.
          Cast iron pistons.

          FUEL Tank capacity 14 gallons ( 63 litres ). Large side filling pipe equipped with filter and
          bayonet type cap. Visible gauge on instrument board.
          GEARBOX Equipped with four forward speeds and reverse. Central gate change. Clutch
          and gearbox housing are in one casting, the front of which is bolted to the rear face of the
          engine flywheel housing.

          GUDGEON PINS Case hardened mild steel. Ground finish. Aluminium end plugs. Fully
          floating in piston and small end when the engine is hot.

          IGNITION Delco-Remy coil and battery, semi-automatic advance. Supplemented by
          manual control on steering wheel.

          INDUCTION SYSTEM To ensure complete vaporisation of petrol a certain amount of
          heat is applied to the induction manifold, exhaust gases being utilised for this purpose.
          LUBRICATION, CHASSIS High Pressure Grease Gun.

          PETROL FEED SYSTEM Autovac fitted on the offside of the dashboard under the
          bonnet. Three filters in system.
