                         TO ADJUST ( After R 3060 )

         SECTION         To adjust the shock absorbers correctly they should be removed from the
           610           chassis, Q and proceed as follows:—

                         –  Hold one arm in a vice and test the tension with a spring scale attached
                            to the outer end of the other arm. The tension should be tested with a
                            steady even pull.

                         Then re-adjust by means of the centre adjusting nut until the shock
                         absorbers are set at the correct tension.

                         The front shock absorbers should be set to a tension of 45 lbs. and it has
                         been found that a setting of 20 lbs. on the rear gives the best results, but
                         the rear shock absorbers should be set to the individual requirements of the
                         customer.
