A performing economical engine
The MidiRider chassis is fitted with the powerful Tector engine that
has been fully tested in both urban transport and goods transport
environments. With 6 litres of displacement, both power and
torque are increased in the new Euro 4 version (300 hp, 1050
Nm). The introduction of new SCR pollution control technology
has resulted in lower fuel consumption, and with the EEV feature,
Irisbus Iveco can offer even lower pollution levels.

Comfort programmed in
Particular care was taken over the design of the driver’s position,
which includes a new steering wheel incorporating the control
buttons both for the display unit on the instrument panel and for
the radio. The new instrument panel provides more information
thanks to multiplex technology. The manual gearbox has a new,
shorter, lever making gear change easier.

For greater stability and well-being on board, the MidiRider chassis
has air suspension with automatic levelling. The suspension can also
be fitted with a vehicle raise/lower device, similarly available on all
vehicles in the Irisbus Iveco coach and bus range.

For the best possible combination, there is a choice of three rear
axle ratios, 6-speed mechanical gearbox while a 6-speed automatic
gearbox, available as an option, further improves driving comfort.
