MidiRider chassis

At home everywhere
A bogie chassis engineered and produced by Irisbus
Iveco, the MidiRider is designed for bodybuilders
producing mid-size coaches. With a rear-mounted
engine, it is perfect for urban use (high floor vehicle), for
school transport, for line service, or even for a mixed
mission (tourism) and long distance tourism. Designed
to operate in extreme conditions of temperature,
humidity or road surface, the MidiRider is at home on
all five continents.
On the one hand, the bogie configuration allows the
delivery of a compact chassis of only 8.2 metres in
length, and on the other hand, it allows the wheelbase
to be adapted to the customer’s requirements of
passenger capacity, number of doors and layout.
The MidiRider chassis is available in right or left hand
drive, with wheelbases ranging from 4.60 to 5.90 metres
to produce vehicles of between 9.50 and 10.50 metres
in length. The floor can be set at a height of between
550 mm and 1100 mm, in order to create generously
sized luggage holds. Suitable for vehicles widths from
2.45 to 2.55 metres, the MidiRider has a higher GVW of
14.2 tons in the Euro 4 version, making it suitable for
vehicles with a capacity of up to 47 seats.
