INSPECTION
SECTION – Examine drop valve at bottom of inner chamber; this should be quite
562 free to drop back from the closed position by virtue of its own weight.
The top valves should open and close automatically on raising and lowering
the float.
– Remove any carbon from face of drop valve.
– Fill inner chamber with petrol, holding drop valve in closed position
and examine for petrol leakage. Any leakage through the walls of the
chamber may be overcome by soldering.
– See that the holes in the air vent cap are clear.
