FUSE

SECTION The fuse is mounted on the same base as the cut-out, the larger cover ‘A’
377 protecting the cut-out and the smaller one the terminals and fuse.
The cover ‘B’ protecting the fuse holder and terminals is removed by
springing the retaining wire ‘C’ to one side. The indication of a blown
fuse is that no charge reading will be observed on the ammeter when
the car is running under normal day time conditions. This, of course,
may be confirmed by examining the fuse. Before replacing it, see that all
connections and terminals of the equipment are tight. If the fuse blows
repeatedly do not use two or more strips to prevent this occurring, but
examine the equipment thoroughly to determine the cause of the trouble.
To fit a new fuse it is only necessary to release the knurled nut ‘D’, place
one of the spare fuse strips ‘F’ over the post and then replace and tighten
the nut.
