NOTE: Any fluctuation of the voltmeter needle. The amount the needle
fluctuates indicates the voltage leak through the condenser. If the leak
exceeds 10 volts the condenser is faulty and should be replaced by another.
If, however, the leak does not exceed 10 volts, disconnect the power circuit
leads from the condenser and short circuit the condenser lead on to the
body. A powerful discharge should result. This is indicated by a spark, if no
spark or a very weak spark is evident the condenser is faulty as it will not
hold a charge for a short period.
