Basic Measurements

                                               CH1

                                                               Watts = +708 . 4 W
                                                                Volts = 107 . 18 V
                                                               Amps = 8 . 851 A

                                                                   VA = 948 . 6 VA
                                                                VArs = 631 . 0 VAr
                                                        > PF = 0 . 746

             REAL POWER.
   W Measures true power and the direction of power flow. Accurate even

               with very low power factors and distorted waveforms.

   VA      APPARENT POWER.

           Determines the apparent power absorbed by load.

           REACTIVE VOLT-AMPERES.

   VAr Displays the reactive power flow caused by phase displacement or

           distortion.

             VOLTAGE.
   V Displays the true rms value of the system voltage. Can also display the

               rectified mean value for calibration of mean sensing instruments.

             CURRENT.
   A Displays the true rms value of load current. Can also display the

               rectified mean value.

             POWER FACTOR.
   PF Determines the true power factor of the load. The PM3300 computes

                the ratio W/VA thus displaying actual value of power factor for both
                sinusoidal and distorted waveforms.

   PEAK    PEAK VOLTAGE.

           Displays the repetitive peak value of the applied voltage. Useful for
           determining the working voltage on insulation or voltage available for
           rectification.

           PEAK CURRENT.

           Displays repetitive peak current. Used for setting current limit levels in
           UPS and other power electronic applications.

             VOLTAGE CREST FACTOR.
   CF Displays the ratio of Vpk/Vrms. For a pure sinewave Vcf=1.414. A non-

                linear load will cause distortion of the voltage waveform, reducing Vcf.
                This provides a useful indication of the effect of the load on the ac
                supply.

             CURRENT CREST FACTOR.

                Displays the ratio Apk/Arms. Loads producing a distorted current can
                result in high values of Acf.

   IMPED   IMPEDANCE.
   -ANCE
           Determines the impedance of the load, expressed in ohms. Will also
           show the real and imaginary parts of load impedance.

   INRUSH  PEAK INRUSH CURRENT.
       A
           The PM3300 will display the peak current that flows when switching on
           loads such as power supplies or motors.
