Stockton and Chancellor of the University of John Bamborough seems to look on anxiously.

Oxford, officially opened the new Linacre site at

Cherwell Edge.

It is recalled by one Old Member who was there

that during the dinner the Chancellor appeared

to be nodding off and when he rose to his feet

he announced “Oxford is a dream world …”

Later in the evening he se led himself into a

corner of the Common Room with the students

and entertained them for some me. Sadly, no

photographs of this part of the celebra ons

exist.
