Dr Nick Brown
Nick Brown has been involved with
Linacre for more than 25 years. He was
a student in 1986, Senior Tutor from
2004 and Principal from 2010. With a
background in Plant Science, and a love
of Wytham Woods, he is celebrated as
the youngest current Head of House in
Oxford.
VisiƟng Washington at a dinner hosted by the
Rt Rev’d Carolyn Tanner Irish and Rev’d Dr E. Nick is known to be very “hands-on”, which
Frederick Quinn. can be seen here in helping a foreign Fellow
with the intricacies of sub fusc.
Not long aŌer matriculaƟng in 1986, Nick
became a keen supporter of the Linacre Boat
Club and can be seen here coaching the Novice
crews—starƟng with the fundamentals —”this
is a boat”. He is sƟll seen on the towpath,
encouraging each new intake of rowers.
