It was further resolved/That the thanks of the Lodge be and they are hereby
tendered to the W.M. as well for his generous presentation as far the research and
trouble involved in reproducing the replica of this ancient and honorable badge.
The medal is in silver, 1¾ inches in diameter; the obverse shows a figure of
Fame, standing on a square pavement beside a column on which she is inscribing
minute letters with a style. She holds in her left hand a trumpet and a scroll
showing a drawing of a classical temple. In the background, on the left, is the
scaffolding of a new building, and rays descend from the sky. At the foot is the
date, MDCCLXXX. The reverse has round the margin the words “GRAND
