of the Lodge of Antiquity at the Thatched House Tavern, which he much frequented,
at which he was Junior Warden pro. tern, and this resulted in the reunion.
A Harodim ‘Lodge’ was then warranted by the Premier Grand Lodge for all those
who had been associated with Preston’s “Grand Chapter of Harodim” but had not
previously been members of the Lodge of Antiquity. Thomas Harper was appointed
its Secretary. Lord MacDonald was made Grand Patron of the “Grand Chapter of
Harodim” and Ruspini was received therein in great state at their annual festival.
Finally, the “Lodge of Harodim” was amalgamated with the Lodge of Antiquity,
Ruspini becoming the Senior Warden, after paying his dues, and Thomas Harper
became the Treasurer. We shall see later how the Lodge of Antiquity came to the
assistance of the Lodge of the Nine Muses when they were in trouble.
