applicant because you know him to be a Mason. However, it may be that you cannot
make up your mind who is the better between two applicants. Only then should you
accept the Mason, knowing something else about him.
“Now, supposing in your business someone has let you down so badly that you are
considering whether to sack him. You might decide to give the man another chance.
However, if he is a Mason you should decide to sack him because he should have
known better.”
A wise saying which we should do well to ponder upon.
