Join us on this special weekend where we'll be celebrating the magical story of the Welsh patron saint of friendship and love, St Dwynwen.

Join in with the Interactive Story of St Dwynwen and King Brychan who will transport you back to the 5th century, with added games including Jumping The Broomstick! Go on a special themed treasure hunt and learn some humorous romantic traditions along the way. Come and watch the making of a Celtic Knot Bread. Bara Santes Dwynwen is a sweet bread traditionally shared by lovers – have a go at forming your own Celtic Knot! Puppet Shows & Crafts, Quizzes plus lots more!

Take to the seas of your imagination with our interactive stories - Pirate adventures filled to the brim with Sea Monsters and death defying deeds. Train to be a pirate in pirate school where ye can fish for fish and dig for treasure! A pirate puppet show, pirate crafts and much more! So don't be grumpy landlubber-set sail instead for adventurous times! Cross swords with Captain Jack! Train to be a Pirate - Maybe ye can find yourself a spot of treasure in our Treasure Hunt, Gold Panning, Pirate craft activities* , Swashbuckling cartoons held in Wales' smallest Cinema La Charrette, Pirate Quiz plus lots more...

Down the Rabbit Hole with Real Tea! Tea Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter! Book on for this very special Easter treat! A special party with Alice and the Mad Hatter with real tea, cakes, sandwiches and more! Have a chatter with the Hatter! Play some games. And have a sing and a dance with Alice. Its sure to make your Wonderland dreams come true!

It's Easter everyday at The Gower Heritage centre this half term week! And we are off to Wonderland! Meet the White Rabbit, Alice and the Mad Hatter! Join in with the fun and games on a mad-capped Inter-active Tea Party Story Adventure! Wear your Easter bonnets, mad hats, or wonderful wonderland costumes for the mad hat Fancy Dress competition! Bounce along to the bunny races and of course prepare to get silly for our eggstra special egg and spoon chase. And Quick before the tick tock of the white rabbits clock runs out, how about following Alice on a special treasure quest for some tasty treats? There will be Easter quizzes, Easter crafts and an eggsplosion of other eggtivities! Standard entry fee applies.

In October the apples were harvested, scrattered, and the juice put into barrels to ferment. Now is the time to taste this traditional beverage! And what better way than to pair our local ciders with our amazing welsh cheeses! Mix all this with a day and evening of amazing entertainment, plenty of fun for all the family, Morris dancers, musicians, demonstrations and much more! Its going to be three days of fun festivities over the bank holiday! Definitely a date for the diary!

The Gower Cheese & Cider Festival offers visitors a wide selection of locally produced, award winning cheese, cider and perry from Wales. There will also be stalls and live music until late.

Visitors will be able to sample and enjoy some of the best cider Wales has to offer. There will also be a great variety of ciders such as our very own Gower produced cider called the Mill House cider along with many more.

There will also be advice on how to make apple juice or cider and there will be a traditional 1890s travelling cider press on site with apple press demonstrations taking place. There will also be a Gower roast and BBQ along with the Mill Tearooms serving a wide range of welsh classics; and not forgetting the popular Welsh Cream Tea, which will be served all day. Bar & BBQ open throughout

The Gower Heritage Centre has been holding successful foodie events for years now, and the Gower Good Food Festival is no exception. Back for its third year, the festival is back by popular demand, and this year will be held from Sunday 26th May to Monday 27th May.

Come along to then Gower Heritage Centre for a day of sampling some of the best and most delicious food and beverages the Gowers local producers have to offer. Pick up something to tantalise your taste buds to take away with you, or devour the delicacy then and there! Support your local food growers on this fab day out, with quizzes, puppet shows, crafts and stories for the younger ones, as well as plenty of fun to be had in our play areas and animal park!

It’s not all just about sampling tasty food though, as the organisers have also lined up an array of activities to take part in, including guided tours of the mill and animal feeding sessions – the latter of which is sure to appeal to the youngest of visitors. There’s something for everyone at this family-friendly event, even blacksmith and glass blowing demonstrations and the chance to get crafty in workshops for pottery and making hand-puppets. For some retro fun, keep an eye out for Punch & Judy shows.

New for 2019! Hero Half Term!

Calling all hero's big and small! The Gower Heritage Centre needs you!! We have an escaped villain in the centre! We need hero's to help catch this villain and turn him from evil to good. Can you do it before time runs out?? Train to be a hero in the hero training class, Hero crafts, Mr Punch becomes a hero puppet show, name that Villain quiz trail!, Catch the villain Inter-active adventure story and trail, Teach a villain to be good inter-active adventure, Hero celebration dance!, Find the jokers smile quiz, and of course a heroic hero fancy dress competition!

Set course for a fun-filled week of Pirate-themed events at the Gower Heritage Centre!

Climb aboard the Good ship Gower Heritage for Piratical mischief! With Captain Jack Sparrow, and Captain Charlotte DuBerry at the helm! With Treasure trails, plenty of plank walking, brand new extra Pirate Training Games! New deep sea Inter-Active Adventures to head on, and plenty of ditties to sing along with. As well as fancy dress competitions, quizzes galore! Puppet shows, crafts and much more!! So weigh your anchor and steer a course to The Gower Heritage centre for the start of the summer!

Lots of fun of ye olde country fair to be had today, with a coconut shy, hook a duck. Traditional board games to be played in the classroom, as well as splat the rat. Inter-active traditional tales, with giants, and dragons to be joined in with. Punch and Judy puppet show. Inky Pinky the fun game of blindfolded egg smashing success! Even a tug of war for groups to challenge themselves in, and some sports day style races. So step back in time at The Gower Heritage Centre and enjoy our Country Games.

Do you love residing by the beach in the summertime? Well, this beach fun day, you can enjoy the sand whatever the weather, with a marquee full of beach fun games, a Goddess of the Sea Amphitrite, leading legendary Inter-Active Adventures even travelling underwater! (In imagination), plenty of beach themed competitions and activities on our stage area too, with a sea themed puppet show, Captain Jack Sparrow, sandcastle building competitions and so much more! So grab your bucket and spade and head down for this day full of fun!

Be careful to keep your head at The Gower Heritage Centre this week! With Lady Elizabeth leading Inter-Active tales of yore, with Robyn Hood, King Arthur and more, on stage with props and plenty of old style pantomime booing and cheering! Train to be a Knight, with practise bows and arrows, axe throwing, sword fighting, and practise horse and lance target too. The Dark Knight will be there to show you how to battle with a real sword, as well as medieval re-enactors. With Crime and Punishment horrible histories game, a chance to sit in the stocks, and some new gruesome games for 2019. The perfect finale to the summer holidays!

The annual Gower Bluegrass Festival attracts many bluegrass musicians from the South Wales area and also from further afield across the Severn Bridge.

So come along and see our apples being pressed on the traditional 1800's travelling press!

Monsters, zombies and all the dead of the night, are cordially invited to have a Halloween fright, Calling witches, vampires, werewolfs and all, this is the time for you to have a ball! An evening jam packed with spooky dancing, competitions galore, scary tales, pumpkin carving, Swinging Apples, creepy Crafts, Swamp Dip, Haunted Tours, Potion making, Spook Schools Scream of Show-Including magic making, Broomstick Advanced Training, Monster Mashing and much much more! Fancy Dress competitions! There will be a deathly host running the whole show, ghost hunts and bat hunts. An evening Not to be missed-it's frighteningly good!

Calling all witches and wizards and things that go bump in the night! Everyday you can join in with Spook School! With Broomstick Training, Potion Making, Spell devising, Zombie Dancing, advanced Howling, Trick or Treat games and so much more. So Join Magenta the Witch everyday for a wickedly good time! With creepy crafts, creepy cartoons and a whole lot of spooky quizzes. The perfect way to spend your time this Halloween half term!

Travel and adventure to the land of all time, where the worlds of the Vikings once equalled nine! This weekend make it a roaringly good one with the Vikings. Meet some Vikings. Enter into Viking Training. Learn Viking craft skills. And join in with the legendary tales of Thor and Loki, Ragnor one of the most afeard Vikings. Join in with the Viking Games! A day to celebrate these dragon slayers of old!
