The Irisbus Daily Range

The Irisbus range of Daily Minibuses have been designed to provide both the driver and the
operator with a world-beating passenger-carrying vehicle. Built to drive like a car, but with the strength
of a truck, the Irisbus Daily Minibuses and Irisbus Daily Body Shells herald a new benchmark in
passenger vehicle design and build, which others will find hard to follow.

With driver's comfort paramount in our design brief, the driver's area has been expertly planned,
with all controls examined and re-examined to ensure that they are functional, easy to use and that the
layout is ergonomically correct.

Seating is also very important for driver comfort, as we well know through our many years of
experience in manufacturing heavy buses. It is no surprise then that we have used our wealth of
knowledge in the design of the Daily seating system. The Daily seat is adjustable for height, reach and
rake providing the driver with an excellent driving position, which when coupled with the necessary
support, give total driver comfort. This aid to driver comfort, in turn enhances passenger safety.

Special attention has been devoted to reducing the noise within
the saloon. With independent front suspension, improved
engine and new body aerodynamics we have been
able to reduce the noise level down to 68-dB(a) at
50mph, similar to that of a modern passenger car.

The Irisbus Daily features at its heart, a robust
chassis frame consisting of parallel side members with
a “C” section made of high tensile steel. High capacity front and
rear axles with rear wheel drive complement the Daily frame. It will suit
most customer requirements and is supremely adaptable. With disc
brakes all round, ABS and power steering as standard, all Irisbus
Daily models are safe and easy to drive and exude confidence.
The Irisbus Daily is available in four defined forms, serving four major
market sectors.

The Irisbus Daily Chassis Cowl comes as a bare chassis,
complete with cab cowl. It is for users who need to build custom-
made bodies, manufactured by our recognised coachbuilders.
The Cowls available are the 50C13 and 65C15 units.

The Irisbus Daily Minibus Body Shell features a choice of passenger access
doors, slam door (sd) sliding side door (ssd), or plug door (pd), along with factory
produced Panoramic saloon windows. All models come supplied with a fitted-out
interior, but without seats. The shell is also fitted with an aluminium floor with ten
rows of quick release M2 tracking. It is for users who are looking for a vehicle with
a truly flexible capacity. The Irisbus Daily Shells are available in 40C13 and 50C13
models, and in either 3300 or 3950 wheelbase variants.
