Queen’s Platinum Celebrations
to be held in Ickford
Write this date in your diary
Sunday 5th June
Ickford play area from 2pm.
We know we said last year would be a “0ne and only” - well, we had money left over from
the fund we had for prizes for the competitions as there were only two entries for the
competitions - what better way to spend the rest than celebration the Queen’s Platinum
Jubilee here in Ickford?
Plans are under way.
• Wheatley ‘Birds of Prey’ are back.
• Caron’s energetic fitness session will have you on your feet, and the
delightful young Irish dancers will charm you.
• The roundabout and bouncy castle are back too.
• We have a crown-making table for those who would like to become a
princess or prince for the day, with sparkly nail painting.
• Come and have a go on the table tennis table in the Pavilion.
• We have an amazing tea, coffee & cake stall, and a bar.
• Stalls selling a variety of goods. Some of the stalls that were unable
to come last year because of the changes of date due to Covid-19
restrictions are back, and maybe some of the ones that did. Let us
know if you would like a stall.
• The wonderful dog show again with lots of different classes, so if you
and your dog are football fans, England fans or just like fancy dress,
come along. There are prizes for young handlers.
• Have a go at Tug of War.
• Bring your vintage cars for display on the field.
We are still looking for new events and village entertainment
– so if you have any ideas!
Bring a chair, your family and friends. Bring a table if you want and have a street party
on the field so you don't miss anything.
If you would like a stall of your own, or just want to let new villagers know about your
village organisation, get in touch and reserve a table – no charge.

– ask what you can do for Ickford and the Queen!
And keep your fingers crossed for sunny weather.
